I am just beginning my journey into the world of the cello, I have long thought about trying my hand at it and think that I am finally in a place in my life where I am ready to take the leap! My issue at the moment is that I not having any luck finding any sort of a teacher or mentor in my area. And so what I am asking is can anyone suggest some online / app learning tools or resources. I have still not made a choice with regards to an instrument, but there is a music store with a good rental program in the nearest city to me (about 2 hours away) and so I intend on trying out various cellos till I find the right fit. I am hoping that I will find an instructor in the city but due to the geographical limitations I doubt I will be able to see them as often as I would like/ as may be need, but this may not happen either. I have more interest in a contemporary sound/ modern music. I am open to both acoustic and electric instruments, and have read various discussions on the topic, tho I am still not sure which to pick, I'm sure that when I find it I will know. I honestly have no thoughts of joining a orchestra or band any time in the near future or ever really, I am doing this for myself... I have less than zero musical experience unless years of listening counts for something.
I think that, that may be all I have to say for right, so I will take my leave.
Thank you for any words of wisedom in advance.
