How can one tell from what is shown there? Over the past half-century plus, I've tried many different endpins on several cellos; endpins that cost up to $250 each; endpins of carbon fiber, "bell steel" and so on, at least 6 different brands, not counting ordinary no-name steel ones. Each one seemed to change the tone or response qualities of those cellos. In particular, certain notes were affected.

There is a lot going on in the symbiotic relationship between the cello body and the endpin. I even took one of those expensive, named endpins that worked quite well (but not well enough) and cut it a little shorter - and ruined its tonal contribution.

Right now I have an Alberti endpin in one of those cellos that I've owned for almost 50 years, and it is working better than ever before. One of my other cellos came with an Alberti endpin, which is why I decided to try it on this cello too.

Titanium will make a lighter weight endpin lighter than steel. You would need to find out why they are using titanium and how it compares with carbon fiber, which is also light. How much do these things cost? Where is the brass, and why?
