Romney doesn't do much for me, but how has "Hope" and "Change" worked out? (I know, I know....it's W's fault.)

While I admit it is hard to get past the "You didn't build that" statement without getting my hackles up...
I think for me it is more the tenor of the entire speech that rankles. In his scornful and disdainful tone,he basically asserts there is nothing we have that government did not provide, directly or indirectly.
Fine. But in essense, I AM the government. WE ARE the government. Government does not exist without ourdollars, and our votes. So we're back to: Yes, in essence, I (speaking collectively) did too build that.
