I have no data to support this, but I firmly believe that some individuals are biologically predisposed to a quicker and stronger adrenaline response than most people. I am not normally a proponent of medication, but I think when this is the case, beta blockers may be your most effective intervention. Of course, it's good to keep working on strategies to improve the mental aspect, and definitely good to take just enough to give the help you need. If you keep working on it over time, and as you mature physically, you may get to the point where you no longer need the medication.
