Of course. Both my son and I play cello. We purchased a carbon fiber cello initially because i would perform various gigues while traveling and some gigues outside. The carbon fiber cello could handle this compared to my more expensive wooden cello. I decided to buy one for my son to use in his orchestra because many of the children were very uncareful with the instruments around them leading to a bassoon chipping my son's 3/4 cello. We decided to get a carbon fiber cello as a full soze instrument to protect it. It was only used for a year and upon getting older and more serious about cello, we decided to invest in a wooden one and the carbon fiber cello has since been completely untouched.
