The Sunday after Thanksgiving is the first event I clowned for oh so many years ago. In my pictures of this event "Margjo" the clown is shown. I have clowned with her many times and refer to her as my clown mother. Today as I pick her up to go to the big event, she saids, "This will be my last event. It is getting to hard to get in to makeup any more." I have been worried about her driving but this surprised me.

I am a muppets fan, so when I saw this noted on Yahoo!, I went for it. I love it! My personal fav is the red monster at the beginning calling out 'mama!'

Hubbard Squash pie!

My most favorite student-mom EVER gave me some puree'd Hubbard squash to make a pie. She told me you can use it just like pumpkin in a pumpkin pie recipe, but it's tastier. SHE WAS RIGHT. OMG. I made a pumpkin, too, and the Hubbard won the taste test among the whole family. (I followed the recipe off the canned-pumpkin label, as always, and put in a bit too much of every spice, as always... next time it's getting Myers' Dark Rum like the pumpkin gets.)

Turkey Recipe

So I live in England but am American and I will be cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for my English compatriots tomorrow Should I stuff the turkey with cooked stuffing like most people do, or do another way by stuffing the turkey with sage and a skewered orange with cloves in it? Too risky?

Hi Gang,

I had to share this little video clip. I've always, always read that you need to insert your thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh in order to determine whether the turkey is done....but I've never truly been confident about where the heck that part was. And then I got to thinking...maybe others don't know either.... (or maybe I am the *only* one who doesn't know...

I dug Star Trek as a kid but wasn't old/sophisticated enough to appreciate much of what was going on beyond the nominal story line. Do any here more seasoned than I recall what if any brouhaha was caused in 1968 by the kiss between Kirk and Uhuru on the episode "Plato's Stepchildren?"

I use Vitamin D3 which is a more concentrated form of vitamin D. I also get tested for vitamin D. This article is about vitamin D for healthy hearts. I don't like that fact that the article shows milk. D is added to milk by producers not cows. I don't need the calories of milk. BTW milk has a lot of sugar. .
